Heijoshin (pronounced "hay-joe-shin") is a budo concept describing a warrior's mindset, which roughly translated to English means "to keep a normal mind at all times".
In other words, the ability to display unwavering composure in the face of adversity.
Heijoshin Karate dojo teaches traditional non-contact Shotokan Karate and welcomes students 7 years and up. Karate helps individuals develop strength, speed, agility, focus, self-discipline, and self-confidence all while exercising, having fun, and learning self defense.
Our family-friendly club is based out of the Gateway Recreation Centre at 1717 Gateway Road in Winnipeg's North Kildonan area.
